Co-Op Funeralcare Elephant in the Room

We were at Potters field in London next to Tower Bridge again today for the launch a new advertising campaign for Co-Operative Funeralcare. The theme of the campaign is Elephant in the Room and using Eric and an exhibition display in the design of a room we literally created an elephant in the room.

As part of the campaign Kelsey Parker the widow of The Wanted singer Tom Parker was heading the campaign. The launch was the entire day with Kelsey doing TV, Radio and Social Media interviews for Local and National Media outlets with the Elephant in the Room in the Background.

The display made many people take notice of the bizarre situation happening and many people took photos of the elephant in the room.

The ultimate aim of the campaign is to make people talk within their families about there wishes in the event of there death.

Gill Stewart, Managing Director at Co-op Funeralcare said, “Taking that step and talking to loved ones about death is one of the hardest conversations people have to have, but it’s a topic that so greatly needs normalising. If the time comes and no plans have been put in place a lot of decisions are left for your loved ones – and that can add a daunting element to an already difficult time.

“It’s not every day you see an elephant in the middle of London - let alone one this big - but we wanted to do something memorable to create a buzz and invite people to take the survey to get the discussion started.”
