Daithí's Law in Northern Ireland - Organ Donation

We took the Organ Donation Hot air balloon to the front of the Northern Ireland Assembly at Stormont to support the change of law in Organ Donation.

Known as Daithi’s Law the change in the law now means Organ Donation is now an opt-out in line with the rest of the United Kingdom which can potentially save thousands of lives each year.

The Balloon was tethered outside while a press launch of the new law caming into effect in front of local and national media.

The giant ink Organ Donation hot air balloon was a great backdrop for the event. Permission had to be achieved with both Northern Ireland Assembly security, CAA and Belfast City Airport to allow the Balloon to be tethered outside the event.

Coverage of the event went far and wide featuring on ITV national 6pm news the same evening as well as all the Northern Irish papers.
