Yesterday the Nova Inflatable Advertising team managed a special flight in the Send My Bag #FlyingSuitcase tour, from the Bregenz Stadium in Austria. The team were able to take off for the flight during a charity event which was raising money for children in Kenya. This flight means we are able to claim Austria as country number 12 on the Send My Bag #FlyingSuitcase Guinness World Record attempt.
This beautiful flight took the #FlyingSuitcase directly over the stunning Lake Constance at speeds of up to 40 kph, and at times to a hight of 5000 ft for the pilot to be able to find the right wind to travel in the desired direction. This flight ended with a stand-up landing in Lindenau, Germany, the second time a flight in the Send My Bag #FlyingSuitcase has crossed a boarder while airborne!
The stand-up landing allowed the Nova Inflatable Advertising team to have a brief sit on the ground, while keeping the #FlyingSuitcase inflated and stood up, to allow for a break before making the decision to take off again, this time flying for 25 minutes and reaching a height of 1000 ft before landing again, thus achieving country number 13, Germany.
All in an evening before the weather started breaking up and the rain came in. However, onwards we travel, moving to the next group of countries – Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary while we wait for the weather to improve again for us.
Special thank you to skylight_ballooning and SkyFun Ballonfahrten for all their support over the last few days and in helping us to capture 4 countries.
