Nova Inflatable Advertising team go back to school!

The team at Nova Inflatable Advertising have kicked off this year’s ballooning season with a trip back to school!

We were contacted by Bierton Combined School in Buckinghamshire asking if we could help them kick off their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) week for their pupils, helping them to learn about Flight. We discussed with the school the limitations that ballooning has and put the date into our diary. As luck would have it today was perfect ballooning weather conditions, so we loaded up the kit and set off to hopefully inspire some of the next generation to take flight for themselves!

At the school the Nova Inflatable Advertising team set up their new banner balloon, which is plain black, and each year group, from Nursery through to Year 6, had the chance to watch the balloon being cold inflated, hot inflated and lift off of the ground demonstrating how hot air balloons work. We did this in year groups so we could tailor the information to the age of the children and their level of understanding. We were sked some amazing questions today! Also giving the children the opportunity to watch in small groups made it feel like a much more interactive learning experience. As much as our Hot Air Balloons are used for advertising purposes it’s vitally important that we share what we are doing with our children to inspire the next generation of Hot Air Balloon Pilots too.
